Laser Lens Kit
A laser lens kit keeps the beam path usable when a working CO₂ laser starts losing cut quality or leaves extra marking on edges. These replacement lens parts are used on Eagle Studio machines in Cape workshops, with attention to fit, focus length, and the condition of the existing head.

Focus lens fit and use
The Laser Lens Kit page covers the lens parts used on Eagle Studio CO₂ laser systems. It helps Cape workshops match the right replacement kit to the machine already on the floor.
Lens choice affects kerf width, edge finish, and how the machine handles acrylic, board, and thin timber. In Somerset West and the wider Cape, fine dust and coastal air can shorten cleaning intervals, so the lens and its seating parts need regular inspection rather than guesswork.
Before ordering a kit, check the lens diameter, focal length, and the nozzle or holder used on the machine. A quick photo of the current head, plus any cracking, haze, or spatter marks on the lens, helps separate a worn consumable from an alignment issue higher up the beam path.
What the kit helps solve
A fresh lens kit is usually fitted when cuts stop going through cleanly, corners char more than normal, or the focal point becomes inconsistent from job to job. It also makes sense after a lens has been chipped during cleaning or when resin build-up has baked onto the surface and will not lift safely.
Use the product details and machine information together before sending a request through the contact form. Give us the laser model and, if you have them, the lens sizes, so router and profile cell parts stay out of the kit.

Cape workshop service conditions
CO₂ lasers in production shops pick up acrylic vapour, MDF dust, and smoke residue far faster than display machines. Where the workshop is near the coast, moisture and airborne salt can add another layer of contamination around covers and fittings, so lens care needs to be part of the routine, not a once-off fix.
If beam performance changes after load-shedding or maintenance, inspect more than the lens alone. Mirror alignment, air assist flow, water temperature stability, and the condition of the nozzle all affect whether a new lens will deliver the expected result on the next batch.

Checks before replacing parts
Record the lens size, focal length, and any marking visible on the old part before removal. Note the material being cut and the symptoms on the job sheet, such as excessive flare, shallow engraving, or incomplete cuts through sections that used to run cleanly.
After fitting, confirm the lens orientation, seat the retaining parts evenly, and reset focus on a test piece from current stock. Keep the machine record with the date, the part fitted, and any power or speed changes made during testing so the next service check has a proper reference.
