Co2 Laser specs
Setup notes and briefing numbers for Co2 Laser.
CO₂ tube, bed and pass area
The CO₂ Laser specs page lists the machine details needed for planning and comparison. Use it to check working area, power and application fit before choosing a unit for your floor.
Use these figures to compare cutting area, tube wattage and pass height before a machine is allocated to acrylic, plywood, board or rubber work. In Somerset West and the wider Cape, extractor routing, power stability and salt air all affect how a CO₂ laser should be specified for daily production.
Check the bed size against your common sheet formats and the longest signage or template parts you cut in one run. Lens condition, mirror alignment and water cooling matter just as much as wattage when clean edge quality is required on clear acrylic or thin timber.
What the spec sheet covers
Machine dimensions, working envelope, power range and application fit help a workshop match the unit to engraving, light cutting or mixed production without guesswork.
If you are comparing units, read the CO₂ laser figures next to your extractor capacity, chiller placement and available single or three phase supply. For questions on a specific machine or setup, use the contact form and include material type, thickness and your required sheet size.
- Working area for common sheet sizes
- Tube power matched to material thickness
- Cooling and extraction checked early
Cape workshop conditions to check
Coastal humidity can shorten cleaning intervals on optics, covers and motion parts, especially where laser cutting shares space with sanding or packing. Measure the route for ducting, make-up air and waste handling before the machine arrives, because extractor position affects both performance and access for servicing.
Power interruptions should be considered when planning long engraving jobs or repeated acrylic batches. Water temperature, lens choice and material storage all influence final cut quality, particularly during hot summer periods in the Western Cape.

Numbers worth confirming before purchase
Confirm the exact bed dimensions, maximum material height and tube rating against the products you make most often. A unit intended for marking tags and engraving lids is not specified the same way as a machine cutting thicker acrylic letters or MDF inserts.
Also verify cooling requirements, extraction volume and the space needed around the machine for loading full sheets and cleaning mirrors. These checks help separate a suitable laser from one that looks right on paper but does not match the workshop layout or workload.
